Title : Omnipresence (Acrylic on Canvas)

As the Title describes, the artwork talks about the divine power always being there around us, within us- guiding us through life, leading us to the right path. The silhouette of Buddha shows his ‘Omnipresence’ around the monk-his disciple leading him towards wisdom and the correct path. The monk worships and remembers the buddha by chanting of the six syllabled mantra ‘Aum Mani Padme Hum’ which helps in the purification of the mind and body :
1) Aum-purifies ego,
2) Ma-purifies jealousy,
3) Ni-purifies passion, 4)Pad-purifies ignorance, 5)Me-purifies greed, 6)Hum-purifies hatred. (typographically represented in the background). So the divine power is always there around us in various forms…..we need to have faith !!!

This poem by anonymous explains it all- Do not stand at my grave and weep.I'm not there. I do not sleep. I'm a thousand winds that blow,I'm the diamond glints on snow. I'm the sunlight on ripened grain,I'm the gentle autumn rain. When you awake in the morning's hush,I'm the swift uplifting rush. Of quite birds in circled flight.I'm the soft star-shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry....I'm not there. I did not die.
